Must-have

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience with back-end development
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented concepts
  • Experience with design patterns
  • Applied knowledge with Unit Testing
  • Database design and management, experience with technologies like MySQL or MSSQL and with related ORM frameworks
  • Knowing a relevant and globally supported framework, e.g. Django, Flask
  • Having the necessary background in design and construction of RESTful APIs
  • Able to learn new technologies quickly, show initiative, and willing to go the extra mile
  • Proficiency with GIT
  • Curious about and open to bleeding-edge products
  • Strong team player, open-minded, flexible and adaptable
  • Analytical thinking and good problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English

Nice-to-have

Requirements:

  • Experience with Python
  • Deploying your own code (experience with Docker or Kubernetes is a plus)
  • Experience with CI/CD, Gitflow
  • Experience with Cloud Native Application development on AWS, Azure
  • Experience with Agile concepts and Atlassian suite of tools
  • Applied knowledge with GraphQL
  • Knowledge of writing basic HTML and CSS
  • Fluency in Hungarian

What will you be actually doing?

  • Developing server-side code using languages like Python, respectively using your knowledge of their language-specific development frameworks like Django or Flask
  • Building databases using technologies like MySQL or MSSQL
  • Building internal and external APIs and RESTful web services

What to expect in the

Hiring process:

01. Testing your skills

Both tech and soft skills. We’ll send you a few exercises, and based on the results, we’ll get familiar with your way of thinking and your overall engineering skills. You’ll also be asked to do a personality test that will reveal a few basics allowing us to see if we’re a match for each other.

02. Get-to-know-each-other talk

If all goes well, we’ll have the chance to meet you in person (or online). Prepare to fire away with all your questions! We’ll be curious about you personally, and we’ll be happy to tell you more about us and the projects we’re working on. A live test will also be part of this meeting to go a bit deeper into your professional skills.

03. Job offer

If both of us are happy with the previous steps, we’ll invite you to meet one of the leaderboard members to discuss the details and perks of the job. And we wrap it up by making you an offer.
